How the 4-letter word game works
Enter any valid four-letter word and use the colored feedback to narrow the answer. Green letters are in the correct position, yellow letters belong elsewhere, and gray letters are not in the answer unless another copy remains available.
Why short words can be tricky
Four-letter puzzles are fast, but a short pattern can match many familiar words. Once you have two or three letters, resist guessing the first answer that comes to mind if several alternatives still fit.
A smarter four-letter strategy
Start with four different letters, test common vowels early, and use later guesses to separate similar candidates. Keep exact letters fixed and move present letters only into positions that remain possible.
